حضرت ابراہیمؑ کی وہ فرمانبرداری جسے دین اسلام میں اہم مالی عبادت بنایا گیا

تعارف:
حضرت ابراہیم اللہ کے نہایت فرمابردار اور ایک عظیم نبی تھے۔ ان کی فرمانبرداری کی وجہ سے اللہ نے ان کو اپنا دوست کہا اور قیامت تک کے لیے قربانی جیسی مالی عبادت دین اسلام کا حصہ بنائی۔ان کو ابوالانبیاء بھی کہا جاتا ہے کیونکہ ان کی نسل سے بہت سےاہم نبی پیدا ہوئے ہیں جن میں حضرت یعقوب، موسیٰ ، ہارون ، عیسیٰ ، زکریا، یحییٰ ، سلیمان، داؤد اور ہمارے آخری نبی حضرت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم شامل ہیں۔ آپ کے معجزے بھی بے مثال تھے۔قر آن مجید ان کا تعارف کچھ اس طرح کرواتا ہے: ’’ بیشک، ابراہیم اپنے آپ میں ایک پوری امت تھے جو اللہ کے لیے مکمل طور پر وقف تھے، غیر متزلزل اور راستبازی میں قائم، اور وہ مشرکین میں سے نہیں تھے، (جو اللہ کے ساتھ دوسروں کو شریک کرتے ہیں)۔ وہ اللہ کی نعمتوں پر شکر گزار تھے۔ اللہ نے انہیں چنا اور انہیں سیدھی راہ کی ہدایت دی۔ اور ہم نے انہیں دنیا میں بھلائی دی، اور آخرت میں وہ نیک لوگوں میں سے ہوں گے۔ پھر ہم نے تم پر (اے محمد ﷺ) وحی نازل کی کہ ابراہیم کے طریقے کی پیروی کرو اور صرف اللہ کے لیے خالص عبادت کرو۔ اور وہ مشرکین میں سے نہیں تھے۔ القرآن‘‘
پیدائش:
حضرت ابراہیم آج کے عراق کے شہر ار میں آزر نامی ایک مشہور بت تراش کے گھر میں پیدا ہوئے۔ اس زمانے میں لوگ بتوں، بادشاہوں اور سورج چاند ستاروں کی پوجا کرتے تھے۔ بچپن میں جب آپ اپنے والد کو لکڑی یا پتھر کے بت گھڑتے ہوئے دیکھتے تو سوال کرتے یہ نا بول سکتے ہیں اور نا حرکت کر سکتے ہیں تو آپ ان کی عبادت کیوں کرتے ہیں آپ کے والد آپ کو ڈانٹ دیتے۔ حضرت ابراہیم کی بت پرستی کی مخالفت کے باوجود آپ کے والد آپکو بت دے کر بیچنے کی غرض سے بازار میں بھیجتے تھے۔ شہر میں بہت سے تہوار تھے جن پر لوگ جمع ہوتے تھے ان میں ایک تہوار یہ تھا کہ لوگ بت خانوں میں جاتے اور اور ان کے سامنے طرح طرح کے کھانے رکھتے جنہیں ہمچڑھاوا بھی کہہ سکتے ہیں۔ حضرت ابراہیم ان لوگوں سے کہتے کہ تم کن کی عبادت کر رہے ہو؟ کیا یہ تمہاری بات سنتے ہیں؟ کیا یہ تمہیں کوئی نفع یا نقصان پہنچا سکتے ہیں؟ لوگ جواب دیتے یہ ہمارے باپ دادوں کا طریقہ ہے وہ انہیں خدا کہتے تھے اور ایسا ہی کرتے تھے۔ اس پر آپ نے فرمایا میں تمہارے ان خداؤں سےتنگ آ چکا ہوں سچ کہوں تو میں ان کا دشمن ہوں۔حضرت ابراہیم کو اللہ تعالیٰ نے بچپن سے ہی روحانی سمجھ بوجھ عطا کی تھی ۔ "یقیناً ہم نے حضرت ابراہیم کو پہلے ہی حکمت بخشی تھی اور ہم اسے خوب جانتے تھے۔‘‘ القرآن آپ نے اس سمجھ بوجھ سے حقیقی خدا کو ڈھونڈنا شروع کیا بتوں کو تو آپ پہلے ہی خدا نہیں سمجھتے تھے لہٰذا آپ نے سورج کی طرف رجوع کیا اور کہا کہ یہ میرا خدا ہو سکتا ہے مگر سورج جب غروب ہو گیا تو آپ نے سوچا کہ غروب ہونے والا خدا نہیں ہو سکتا اسی طرح چاند اور ستاروں کو بھی غروب ہو جانے کی وجہ سے آپ نے خدا نا مانا آپ نے اس سے یہ نتیجہ نکالا کہ حقیقی خدا وہ ہے جو ان کا خالق ہے اور ان کا انتظام کرتا ہے اور ان سے کہیں برترہے۔
بڑی آگ کا معجزہ:
آپ لوگوں کو بتوں کی پرستش سے روکنے اور ایک حقیقی خدا پر ایمان لانے کی تلقین کرتے رہے لیکن لوگ بتوں کی عبادت سے باز نہ آئے تو آپ نے ایک دلیل کے ذریعے ان کو سیدھی راہ پرلانے کی ایک ترکیب سوچی۔ ایک روز جب لوگ اپنے پڑوسی شہر میں تہوار پر گئے ہوئے تھے، آپ نے ایک کلہاڑا لیا اور شہر کے سب سے بڑے مندر میں جا کر سارے بت توڑ دیے مگر ایک سب سے بڑے بت کو نہ توڑا اور کلہاڑا اس کے کندھے پر لٹکا دیا۔ جب لوگ واپس آئے تو انہوں نے مندر میں بتوں کو ٹکڑے ٹکڑے پایا اور سوچنے لگے کہ یہ کس نے کیا ہو گا ان میں سے کچھ نے کہا کہ ابراہیم نامی ایک جوان ہے جو ان کا مخالف ہے یہ ضرور اسی کا کام ہے۔ پنڈتوںنے ابراہیم سے پوچھا کہ ہمارے خداؤں کو تم نے توڑا ہے تو آپ نے جواب دیا کہ آپ اس بڑے خدا سے پوچھیے کیونکہ کلہاڑا اس کے کندھے پر ہے۔ یہ جواب سن کرپنڈت شرمندہ تو ہوئے لیکن ڈھیٹائی میں کہا کہ تم جانتے ہو کہ یہ بولتے نہیں تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ پھر بھی تم ان کو خدا مانتے ہو۔پنڈتوں نے ہدایت حاصل کرنے کی بجائے آپ سے انتقام لینے کا منصوبہ بنایا اور اعلان کیا کہ ایک بہت بڑی آگ کا انتظام کیا جائے اور اسے اس میں جلا دیا جائے۔ چنانچہ ایک بہت بڑا گڑھا کھودا گیا اور اسے لکڑیوں سے بھر دیا گیا پھر آگ لگائی گئی روایات میں آتا ہے کہ اس آگ کے شعلے اتنے بلند تھے کہ پرندے بھی اوپر سے نہیں اڑ سکتے تھے لوگوں کا ایک ہجوم جمع تھا جب آگ پوری طرح بھڑک اٹھی تو ابراہیم کو اس میں ڈال دیا گیا۔ اس موقع پر آپ کی زبان پر یہ دعا جاری تھی "ہمیں اللہ کافی ہے اور وہ بہترین کارساز ہے۔" اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کی پکار سنی اور آگ کو حکم دیا کہ "اے آگ! ابراہیم کے لیے ٹھنڈی اور سلامتی والی بن جا۔" آپ سات دن تک آگ میں رہے لیکن بیڑیوں کے علاوہ آپ کا ایک بال بھی نہ جلا۔ یہ معجزہ دیکھنے کے بعد لوگ حیران ہو گئے اور اس معجزے کا اتنا چرچا ہوا کہ بات بادشاہ وقت نمرود تک پہنچ گئی۔
نمرود سے مکالمہ:
نمرود نے آپ کو دربار میں طلب کیا تاکہ آپ کورسوا کر سکے۔ اس نے آپ سے کہا بولو تمہارا خدا کیا کر سکتا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا میرا خدا زندگی اور موت دیتا ہے۔ نمرود نے دو آدمی بلائے ان میں سے ایک کو قتل کر دیا اور ایک کو زندہ رکھا اور کہا دیکھا میں زندگی اور موت دیتا ہوں۔ ابراہیم نے فرمایا میرا خدا سورج کو مشرق سے نکالتا ہے تم اگر سچے خدا ہو تو اسے مغرب سے نکالو۔ نمرود اس چیلنج پر لاجواب ہو گیا۔
مکہ کی طرف ہجرت اور حضرت اسماعیل کی پیدائش:
حضرت ابراہیم نے کافی عرصہ عراق میں لوگوں کو توحید کی دعوت دی لیکن کوئی ایمان نہ لایا لہٰذا آپ نے عراق کو خیرباد کہا اور اپنی بیوی حضرت سارہ کے ساتھ فلسطین چلے گئے فلسطین میں لوگوں کو توحید کی دعوت دینے کے بعد آپ مصر چلے گئے اور وہاں سے مکہ سعودی عرب آ گئے۔ وہاں اللہ تعالٰی نے آپ کو اپنی دوسری بیوی حضرت حاجرہ سے ایک بیٹا اسماعیل عطا فرمایا۔
پرندوں کا معجزہ:
حضرت ابراہیم اس بات پر بڑے متجسس تھے کہ اللہ روز قیامت مردوں کو کیسے زندہ کرے گا۔ آپ نے اللہ سے کہا "اے خدا مجھے دکھاؤ کہ تو کس طرح مردوں میں جان ڈالتا ہے" اللہ نے فرمایا " کیا تمہیں یقین نہیں" آپ نے کہا "مجھے ہے لیکن میں صرف اپنے دل کو تسلی دینا چاہتا ہوں" اللہ نے فرمایا "چار پرندے لو اور ان کے ٹکڑے کر کے انہیں چار پہاڑیوں پر رکھ دو پھر ان کو بلاؤ تم دیکھو گے کہ وہ اڑ کر تمہارے پاس آ جائیں گے۔ پس جان لو کہ اللہ بڑا زبردست حکمت والا ہے۔‘‘
بڑی آزمائش :
جب حضرت اسماعیل اتنے بڑے ہو گئے کہ کام کاج میں آپ کا ہاتھ بٹانے لگے تو ایک رات آپ نے خواب میں دیکھا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے حکم دیا کہ اپنا بیٹا میری راہ میں قربان کرو۔ جب آپ صبح اٹھے تو آپ نےاسے شیطان کے وسوسے سمجھا لیکن اگلی رات وہی خواب آپ کو دوبارہ آیا تو آپ کو یقین ہو گیا کہ یہ اللہ کا حکم ہے۔ یہ ایک بہت بڑی آزمائش تھی لیکن آپ نے بیٹے کی زندگی پر اللہ کی مرضی کو ترجیح دی اور اسے قربان کرنے کے لیے تیار ہو گئے اور یہ ایک بے مثال فرمانبرداری تھی۔ آپ نے اپنے خواب کا زکر اپنے بیٹے سے کیا "اے میرے پیارے بیٹے میں نے خواب میں دیکھا ہے کہ میں ضرور تمہیں قربان کروں۔ تو تم کیا چاہتے ہو؟ انہوںنے جواب دیا اے میرے پیارے باپ آپ وہی کرو جس کا آپ کو حکم دیا گیا ہےاور اگر اللہ نے چاہا تو آپ ضرور مجھے ثابت قدم رہنے والوں میں سے پائیں گے"آپ نے ایک چھری اور بیٹے کے کہنے پر آنکھوں پر باندھنے کے لیے پٹی اور اس کے ہاتھ پیر باندھنے کے لیے ایک رسی لی اور اسے لے کر عرفات کی پہاڑی پرگئے۔ راستے میں شیطان انسان کی شکل میں نمودار ہوا اور آپکو اپنے ارادے سے پیچھے ہٹ جانے کے لیے ورغلانے کی کوشش کی لیکن آپ نے اسے پہچان لیا اور کنکریاں اٹھا کر اسے ماریں۔ جب شیطان چلا گیا تو آپ نے بیٹے کے ہاتھ پیر باندھ کرلٹایا اور اپنی آنکھوں پر پٹی باندھ لی ۔جونہی آپ بیٹے کی گردن پر چھری چلانے لگے اللہ کی طرف سے وحی آئی "اے ابراہیم بے شک تم نے خواب سچا کر دکھایا۔ اور بے شک ہم نیک عمل کرنے والوں کو ایسے ہی اجر دیتے ہیں۔ یہ واقعی ایک کھلی آزمائش تھی۔" جب آپ نے پٹی کھولی تو فرشتہ جنت سے ایک مینڈھا لے کر حاضر ہوا اور کہا کہ اللہ نے آپ کی قربانی قبول کی اب آپ اپنے بیٹےکے بجائےاس مینڈھےکو ذبح کیجیے۔اللہ تعالٰی کو ابراہیم کی یہ فرمانبرداری اس قدر پسند آئی کہ دین اسلام میں قربانی کوسنت ابراہیم کہا گیا اور ایک بڑے اجر والی مالی عبادت قرار دیا گیا۔
قربانی کے احکام:
’’ ہم نے اونٹ اور مویشیوں کو اللہ کی نشانیوں میں شامل کیا ہے، جن میں تمہارے لیے بہت بھلائی ہے۔ لہٰذا جب وہ قربانی کے لیے قطار میں کھڑے ہوں تو ان پر اللہ کا نام (لے کرذبح کیا)کرو۔ جب وہ اپنی طرف سے بے جان ہو جائیں، تو آپ ان کاگوشت کھا سکتے ہیں، اور صبر سے بیٹھے رہنے والوں اور سوال کرنے والوں کو بھی کھانا دے سکتے ہیں۔ اسی طرح ہم نے یہ جانورآپ کے سپرد کیےہیں تاکہ آپ شکر گزار ہوں۔" ’’ ہر قوم کے لیے ہم نے قربانی کا طریقہ مقرر کیا تاکہ وہ اللہ کا نام ان قربانی کے جانوروں پر ادا کریں جو اس نے ان کے لیے فراہم کیے ہیں۔‘‘ ’’اے نبی بے شک ہم نے آپکو بہت سی خوبیاں عطا کی ہیں سوآپ اپنے رب کے لیے نماز پڑھو اور قربانی کروبیشک آپ کا دشمن ہی بے نام و نشان ہو گا۔‘‘
Introduction:
Prophet Abraham was an immensely obedient servant of Allah and a great prophet. Due to his obedience, Allah called him His friend and made the financial worship of sacrifice a part of Islam until the Day of Judgment. He is also called the Father of the Prophets because many important prophets came from his lineage, including Jacob, Moses, Aaron, Jesus, Zechariah, John, Solomon, David, and our last prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). His miracles were also extraordinary. The Qur'an introduces him as follows: "Indeed, Abraham was a ummah by himself, completely dedicated to Allah, steadfast and upright in righteousness, and he was not of the polytheists (who associate others with Allah). He was grateful for Allah's blessings. Allah chose him and guided him to the straight path. And We gave him good in this world, and in the Hereafter, he will be among the righteous. Then We revealed to you (O Muhammad, peace be upon him) to follow the way of Abraham and to worship Allah alone sincerely, and he was not of the polytheists." Al-Qur'an
Birth:
Prophet Abraham was born in the city of Ur in present-day Iraq, in the house of a famous idol-maker named Azar. At that time, people worshipped idols, kings, and the sun, moon, and stars. In his childhood, when he saw his father crafting idols from wood or stone, he would ask questions, saying, 'They cannot speak or move, so why do you worship them?' His father would scold him. Despite Prophet Abraham's opposition to idolatry, his father would send him to the market with idols to sell. The city had many festivals where people would gather, and one such festival involved people going to idol temples and placing various foods in front of them, which could also be called offerings. Prophet Abraham would ask these people, 'Whom are you worshipping? Do they listen to you? Can they bring you any benefit or harm?' People would reply, 'This is the way of our ancestors; they called them gods, and so do we.' To this, he said, 'I am tired of these gods of yours. To be honest, I am their enemy.'Prophet Abraham was granted spiritual understanding from childhood. 'Indeed, We gave Abraham guidance before, and We have been well-acquainted with him.' (Quran) With this understanding, he began to seek the real God. He never considered idols as God, so he turned to the sun and said that it could be his God. But when the sun set, he realized that the setting sun could not be God. Similarly, he did not accept the moon and the stars as God because they set as well. From this, he concluded that the true God is the one who created them, manages them, and is far superior to them.
The Miracle of the Great Fire:
You kept advising people to abandon idol worship and believe in one true God, but when they did not stop worshipping idols, you devised a method to guide them to the right path through reasoning. One day, when people had gone to a festival in a neighboring town, you took an axe and entered the largest temple in the town and destroyed all the idols, except for one very large idol, on which you hung the axe on its shoulder. When the people returned, they found the idols in pieces in the temple and began to wonder who could have done it. Some said that a young man named Abraham, who was their opponent, must have done it. The priests asked Abraham if he had broken their gods, and you replied that they should ask this big god because the axe is on its shoulder. Hearing this, the priests were embarrassed but obstinately said that you know it does not speak. You then said that still, you consider it a god. Instead of receiving guidance, the priests planned to take revenge on you and announced that a great fire should be arranged.And he was thrown into it. So a very large pit was dug and filled with wood, then set on fire. According to traditions, the flames of this fire rose so high that even birds could not fly over it. A crowd of people had gathered, and when the fire fully blazed, Abraham was thrown into it. At that moment, these words were on his tongue: 'Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best disposer of affairs.' Allah Almighty heard his call and commanded the fire, 'O fire! Be cool and safe for Abraham.' He remained in the fire for seven days, but not a single hair on him was burned, except for a few chains. Upon witnessing this miracle, people were astonished, and the news of this miracle spread so much that it reached the king of the time, Nimrod. ##Dialogue with Nimrod:
Nimrod summoned you to the court so that he could confront you. He asked you, 'Tell me, what can your God do?' You replied, 'My God gives life and death.' Nimrod called two men, killed one of them, and spared the other, saying, 'See, I give life and death.' Abraham said, 'My God brings the sun from the east; if you are a true god, then bring it from the west.' Nimrod was left speechless at this challenge.
Migration towards Mecca and the birth of Prophet Ismail:
Prophet Abraham preached the oneness of God among the people in Iraq for a long time, but no one believed. Therefore, he bid farewell to Iraq and, along with his wife Sarah, went to Palestine. After inviting the people to monotheism in Palestine, he went to Egypt and from there came to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. There, Allah granted him a son, Ismail, from his other wife Hagar.
The Miracle of the Birds:
Prophet Ibrahim was very curious about how Allah would resurrect the dead on the Day of Judgment. He said to Allah, 'O God, show me how You give life to the dead.' Allah said, 'Do you not believe?' He said, 'I do, but I want to reassure my heart.' Allah said, 'Take four birds, cut them into pieces, and place them on four hills, then call them; you will see that they will come flying to you. So know that Allah is mighty and wise.
Great Trial:
When Prophet Ismail had grown up enough to help in work, one night you saw in a dream that Allah Almighty had commanded you to sacrifice your son for His sake. When you woke up in the morning, you thought it was the whisperings of Satan, but the same dream came to you again the next night, and you became certain that it was Allah's command. This was a very great trial, but you preferred Allah's will over your son's life and became ready to sacrifice him, which was an unparalleled act of obedience. You mentioned your dream to your son: 'O my beloved son, I saw in a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you wish?' He replied, 'O my beloved father, do what has been commanded to you, and if Allah wills, you will find me among those who remain steadfast.' You took a knife and, at your son's request, a blindfold to cover his eyes and a rope to tie his hands and feet, and went with him to the mountain of Arafat. On the way, Satan appeared in the form of a human and tried to trick you to back away from his intention, but you recognized him and picked up pebbles and threw at him. When Satan was gone, he tied his son's hands and feet and blindfolded him. As soon as he stabbed his son in the neck, a revelation came from Allah: "O Ibrahim, you have made your dream come true. And indeed, this is how We reward those who do good. It was truly an open trial." When he untied the strap, the angel came with a ram from Paradise and said, "Allah has accepted your sacrifice, now you slaughter this ram instead of your son." Allah Almighty liked this obedience of Ibrahim so much that in Islam, sacrifice was called the Sunnah of Ibrahim and it was declared as a financial act with a great reward.
Commands of Sacrifice:
"We have included camels and cattle among the signs of Allah, in which there is much goodness for you. So when they are lined up for sacrifice, mention the name of Allah over them (before slaughtering). When they are lifeless, you may eat their meat, and give food to the needy who do not ask, and to those who do ask. In this way, We have subjected these animals to you so that you may be grateful." "For every nation, We have appointed a method of sacrifice so that they may mention the name of Allah over the sacrificial animals that He has provided for them." "O Prophet, indeed We have granted you many blessings; so pray to your Lord and offer the sacrifice. Indeed, your enemy will be without prominence."
